Water is scarce
—reaching it
is difficult.
See(k)ing,
(p)reaching.
⠀⠀ S⠀⠀t⠀⠀r⠀⠀e⠀⠀t⠀⠀c⠀⠀h⠀⠀(⠀i⠀⠀n⠀⠀g⠀)⠀!⠀—
Dam(n(it)!
If (only) I could walk the arid plain.
Well, that is
⠀⠀⠀ how it seems.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ (no rain)
Who cares for what you think!(?)
You steal (from me) and give (me) nothing (in return).
Rambling(?)—
⠀⠀⠀ too long.(of hexameters)
To be physically trapped? And no-one can help!
Hexameters always just bumble along until they finally finish. Long-winded things and a curse in English poetry since it is over the useful mouthful of words for a line. Not as natural as the iambic pentameter line or other appropriate variations. Often creates a heated discussion.
